Judy B. Smetana, Ph.D., MBA, PCC, SHRM-SCP serves as Associate Professor and HRD graduate program coordinator in the Department of Technology and Workforce Learning at Pittsburg State University, Kansas. She earned her Ph.D. in Human Resources Development focusing on Organizational Performance and Change from Colorado State University, an MBA from Webster University and a Magister from the University of Vienna, Austria in History and Slavic Studies. Her research interests include leadership development & life coaching, organizational culture and narrative.

Professionally, Judy worked in human resources for 20+ years both nationally and internationally. 

In May 2007, she started her own consulting practice focusing on coaching individuals and consulting with organizations on the human resource function, leadership development, change and coaching.
